History

The Old Hall Nurseries story starts with us, Rob and Mary Hibbert, and our shared a passion for plants, which lead to the creation of our plant nurseries business in 1988.

Our vision was to become the East Midlands premiere plant nursery specialist for the landscape and amenities market and we aimed to achieve this by introducing exemplary customer service alongside an extensive range of high quality plants.

Starting with 2 acres on the Oxton site for our first plant nursery which is now our headquarters, we increased our capacity and our range when we acquired the Longdale site in 1997, growing to our current 35 acres plant nursery.

Annual production now exceeds 500,000 2- and 3-litre pots and 120,000 specimen plants with smaller ranges of containerised trees as well as field-grown seedlings, transplants and trees.

As well as the varieties we grow ourselves, we can source unique and unusual plants, from reliable sources both in the UK and abroad to offer our plant nurseries customers’ exclusive solutions to meet your exact requirements.

Our plant nurseries aim is to grow for your business and with your business, developing the plants and services that our plant nursery offers in line with your changing business needs.
